Quote of The Moment
"It's okay, we can work with this!"
- Deckard Wizard (Bee and Puppycat)
Hey there everyone! It is I once again~
PREPARE FOR A DEPRESSION RANT, YO xD
So, as you can tell from the title— I am now a graduate! *cue party* Though I still have senior high (basically, that's 2 more years before I actually go to uni)... Still! Since our school has a complicated system, let me give you the gist of it: Basically, there are two batches of Grade 10 students, those who were affected by the k-12 program (that is us), and those who were not. Those who were not affected by the k-12 program head on to college/university, while we— the affected ones— have two more years of school. You know, it makes me kind of sad. Not the fact that we're still stuck in high school, but because the others are now going to college. It has been making me rather depressed these past few days. I'll miss my upperclassmen, especially those who were with me in our debate club and school choir... But all that aside, let me talk about graduations. I don't know, but they seem like a happy-sad event. I'm quite glad that it's already summer, but I'll miss everyone— yes even the annoying people. And it occurred to me that I might never be able to talk or see my upperclassmen ever again.... Except if we happen to be in the same college LOL But chances are still slim...
Ahem, I'm sorry for this slightly depressing post. I just thought I ought to vent it out so that I could ease this sadness I'm having xD I'll be composing a more proper (as well as a more cheerful) blog post next time. And yeah! That's it for today. My question for y'all today is, what do you think of graduations? Do you see it as a time to celebrate? Leave a comment or two, or maybe drop a message at my Cbox~ ^_^ Ciao for now! 〜( ̄▽ ̄〜)
Hello there, everyone! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆ It is I one again, and today, we'll be talking about "the dress"...
Anyways, YAAAAYY we're finally done with our exams, and it's finally summer! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧.
Man, I am so glad that the exams are over with. They were DIFFICULT, I tell you. But then again, such is life. And so, with that, I welcome summer!
Okay now, back to the topic. By the way, what color is this dress?
(It's definitely black-and-blue, by the way)
The endless debate about this single dress has literally divided the internet to two sides, and I find it rather strange. People need to get their priorities straight. I mean, it's a perfectly wonderful dress and I'd buy it and that's all that matters
Speaking of which, I noticed that most people see it as white-and-gold rather than black-and blue. I wonder why...? Is it because of the lighting? Probably.
Well, I don't really feel like making an in-depth research about the dress, and besides, it's getting old (~_~)
So yeah. That's it for now!~ What color do you see that dress as? Leave a comment below, if you please :)
And by the way, since it's the beginning of summer, I have changed my blog layout and playlist to a fresh one :D
And... That's it for today, I guess. I'm feeling a little lazy today, so please forgive the extremely short post. Ciao for now, mia amicos~ ( ^-^)/

The Blogmistress
A brief introduction of Her Royal Weirdness
Hello everyone, I go by Cossette— welcome to my blog! I'm a nineteen-year-old Chinese-Filipino law student studying abroad in Australia. I like to obsess over musicals, edgy memes, and general geekery. I spend most of my time sorting through syllabi for my classes, baking cookies, or lurking on Reddit. Since I'm on break from university however, I have also began binge watching lots and lots of shows on Netflix (what's a girl to do, after all?)
I am also that girl who is too emotional for my own good, and has a sad penchant for laughing (at myself, usually). Alas, perhaps my own peculiarity has scared off potential friends, but who cares? Someday, I will find my kin, my madcap ilk. But until then, I'll be sticking around here ┐(︶▽︶)┌

About The Blog
A description of my little corner of the blogosphere
This digital abode of mine was established back in August 2013 as a requirement for my participation in our high school's blogging club. Thus, I scrambled to create one, The Random Thoughts of A Socially-Awkward Optimist— the very website that you are currently viewing. I've long since quit (not to mention graduated from high school), but typing away my thoughts in this blog is rather therapeutic, and I like thinking that perhaps a smile has made its way onto someone's face because of what I write :)
“Sonder” is probably the best word that would describe all reasons why I maintain this blog. The word can be briefly defined as the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own, and through this blog, I wish to be able to satiate that feeling in other people by retelling my anecdotes, thoughts, and rants, and hopefully I would also be able to lift up spirits along the way.
Life moves on and change is constant. But I want to document my experiences somehow: those ugly-crying moments, existential crises, or tears of joy and sadness. Then once change runs its course, we can all look back at these moments and laugh at our own naiveté. And hopefully, I can do just that by typing it all away in this blog.
The Jukebox
Current aesthetic: quiet holiday mornings, the smell of Christmas in the air
A little disclaimer: I don't own nor make money off of any of these songs, it's all just for a little good fun and mood-setting lol
These are the music playing in the blog. I hope you like listening to it as much as I do ◕ ‿ ◕ Simply click on the title of the song, and it will direct you to where I got it ❤
